Mounting Instructions:
| Step 1: |
Dig
a 3’ x 2’ x 1’ deep hole at the end of the wiring
trench. Place a 11/2 inch diameter schedule 40 sweep L pipe centered
in the hole with about a 2 foot extension laying in the trench.
Make sure pipe end is vertical and extends about 4 inches above
ground level. Cover 3’ x 2’ area with dirt up to about
5 inches below ground level, leaving the pipe extension open in
the trench. Use two 11/2 inch sweeps if needed to accomodate wires.
|
|
|
| Step 2: |
Place rectangular
form inside the 3’ x 2’ x 5 inch deep area and pour
the concrete pad around pipe. After slab is leveled, slide pedestal
mounting bracket with its assembled six bolts extending head down
over the pipe(s). Use level if necessary to insure plate is horizontal.
Allow concrete to set and remove form.
|
| |
|
| Step 3: |
Clean mounting
plate of any dirt or concrete. Remove the six nuts from the plate
and slide pedestal over the plate and bolts. Re-install the nuts
inside the pedestal and tighten snug with pliers or wrench. Slide
field wiring through pipe. Allow about 3ft of slack and connect
to controller output terminals. After wiring is completed and tested,
cover trench with dirt.
